Description:

This package focuses on identifying non-traditional presentations of acute myocardial infarctions (AMI), non-st elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), myocardial ischemia, and other ECGs that mimic it. It discusses the protocols and requirements of zero and one-hour rule outs for acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) and reviews the protocols for STEMI reperfusion therapy in a non-invasive facility or when a PCI is unavailable, as well as pearls and pitfalls of risk stratification tools, cardiac imaging, right bundle branch blocks (RBBB) and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) equivalents and the latest treatments of ACS.

• Differentiate between myocardial ischemia and its mimics
• Learn how to interpret ECGs more accurately
• Discuss what you must know to better protect yourself and our patients
• Discuss many myths surrounding the history, cardiac biomarkers, and ECGs of ACS
• Understand the background of zero and one-hour rule-out protocols and know what must be in place before implementing them
• Learn the mechanics of implementing high-sensitivity troponins in the settings of these rule outs
• Describe the protocols for STEMI reperfusion therapy in a non-invasive facility or when a PCI is unavailable
• Describe pearls and pitfalls with risk-stratification and the use of the Heart Pathway and understand the predictive value of conventional high-sensitivity troponins
• Recognize when a test is needed, what tests are needed, and what to do about recurrent pain as they relate to cardiac imaging
• Learn about new updates in ACS treatment
• Discuss non-st elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) updates
• Differentiate between unstable angina, STEMI, and NSTEMI
• Identify risk factors associated with ACS
• Discuss STEMI care and learn to recognize the patterns associated with it
• Learn pearls and pitfalls surrounding right bundle branch blocks (RBBB) and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) equivalents
