Description:

This package discusses challenging airway management, including device selection, anatomic and physiologic hazards, and the rapid management of a dying patient. This lecture discusses pediatric airway management in the emergency department and how to anticipate and avoid trouble during intubation in these cases. Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia in the emergency department, best practices for palliative care in the emergency department and reviews how to safely perform intubations prior to the induction of general anesthesia.
