From October 2023, the WCEA Continuous Professional Development platform will be provided on a subscription basis.
As part of the Mandatory CPD program, all nurses and midwives practicing in Nigeria can obtain 3 credit units (30 hours) on the platform.
All Nurses and Midwives practicing overseas ( Diaspora ) and renewing their license with NMCN will be required to complete 3 credit units on the WCEA platform and have an active subscription prior to license renewal.
Diaspora nurses and midwives can benefit from access to over 100 courses that have ANCC accreditation. These can be used for license renewal in most countries around the world. You will also be able to access content from the Royal Colleges.

PAYMENT PROCESS
How to Make Payments
When you register or login to an existing account for the first time, you will be presented with two subscription options (1 year and 3 years). It is more cost effective to select the 3 year option.
You will then be asked whether you want to use a local or international payment method. If you are in the Diaspora, and are using an international card, select “International Payments”, however if you are in Nigeria and want to use a local payment method, select “Local Payments”.
Local payments will be collected via the secure REMITA platform, and we recommend that you use card, Bank Branch, USSD or Phone.
When the payment has been processed you will be given immediate access to the WCEA platform. The subscription WILL NOT automatically renew and will lapse at the end of the subscription period you have selected. During the subscription period, you will have full access to all courses on the platform at no additional cost.
