MCPDP for Nurses and Midwives in Nigeria and Diaspora

Since January 1, 2023, WCEA, in partnership with the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council, has introduced a Mandatory Diaspora CPD Subscription Plan for those overseas to renew their practising license in Niger. NMCN registered members practising in Nigeria have access at discounted rates.

For nurses and midwives in Nigeria, you will be able to earn a maximum of 3 Credit Units (30 hours) through WCEA.

Diaspora Nurses and midwives registered with the NMCN who wish to renew their licenses must earn 3 CEUs (30 hours). You will be able to access over 100 courses covering all specialty areas that have ANCC accreditation and UK Royal Colleges courses through our partnerships with accredited providers in the USA and the UK.

If so, you must earn 6 CPD credit units (60 hours) as part of the MCPDP to renew your practice license. The WCEA online platform can provide 3 credit units (30 hours) as part of the MCPDP.

If you are a nurse or midwife practicing outside of Nigeria (Diaspora), you MUST have an active WCEA subscription at the time of license renewal and have completed 3 credit units (30 hours) on the WCEA platform. You should also be able to use ANCC-accredited courses and UK Royal College courses to renew in the country where you currently practice.

Nigerian Payments: All payment options approved in Nigeria are available on the WCEA platform. We recommend that you use a Card, Bank Deposit, USSD, or Phone Number.

International Payments: International payments are for Non-Nigerian payment cards. We support Euros, USD, GBP, and NGN.

Once you have completed a course, passed a post-test, and completed the evaluation, the certificate will appear in your Education Tracker in the mobile APP and LMS.

Your CPD certificates will be in your education tracker in both the mobile app and the LMS. We do NOT currently send certificates via email as you can download them from the Education Tracker.
