Webinar title: Active Learning in the Nursing Classroom
Many nurse educators teach the way they were taught—through lecture. However, active learning strategies are an important way to engage learners, solidify learning, and help learners apply knowledge to practice. This webinar is aimed towards anyone who teaches nursing in a classroom setting or hopes to teach someday. It will explore the rationale for using active learning strategies and potential barriers to implementing them. Then, it will provide examples of active learning strategies that nurse educators can easily use in their nursing classrooms.

Her clinical practice focused on adult medical-surgical nursing and cardiovascular stepdown nursing. Her research focuses on nursing education.
