Inspired by the experience of working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team that focused on team building and organizational capacity development in an advanced healthcare setting, this presentation highlights some strategies for the capacity development of staff and the institution for efficiency with limited resources and technology. The display is suitable for primary healthcare facilities and other small to medium size organisations in health.

Speaker: Ishmael Aburi Awini Nurse Manager/President (NPAG)

Ishmael is a Nurse Practitioner and has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, gaining experience in clinical nursing, nursing education and general staff skills/capacity development. As a seasoned nurse educator, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences with others. In addition to his professional career roles, he is also involved in healthcare entrepreneurship and labour unionism and has led the NPAG to address numerous policy issues in the country. Outside of the office, Ishmael enjoys reading, mentoring others and blogging.
