Webinar title: Empowering Health Professionals Through Nutrition Education
The webinar will explore Pakistan’s key nutrition challenges and highlight the need for multisectoral interventions to combat these challenges. Participants will gain insights into the vital role of health professionals in delivering integrated nutrition care and learn practical approaches for embedding gender and climate considerations into nutrition services. The session aims to strengthen capacity and inspire action to advance equitable, sustainable health and nutrition outcomes across communities.

Co-Director, Centre for Global Child Health, The Hospital for Sick Children – Distinguished University Professor and Founding Director, Institute for Global Health & Development, Aga Khan University South-Central Asia, East Africa & United Kingdom – Professor, Departments of Paediatrics, Nutritional Sciences and Public Health, University of Toronto.
Dr. Zulfiqar A. Bhutta is Founding Director of the Institute for Global Health & Development, The Aga Khan University, and Co-Director of SickKids’ Centre for Global Child Health. Dr. Bhutta leads research groups in Toronto, Karachi and Nairobi focused on scaling up evidence-based community interventions, and implementing reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health interventions globally. Dr. Bhutta is a recipient of the Order of Canada 2024, the 2021 IHME Roux Prize and was awarded the John Dirks Canada Gairdner 2022 Global Health Award. Dr. Bhutta received the 2023 Henry G. Friesen International Prize in Health Research for exceptional leadership and innovation in maternal and child health research.
