Speaker: Dr. Leon Ogoti
Dr Leon Ogoti is public health advocate, with undergraduate training in Medicine and postgraduate training in Public Health and Psychiatry. He has additional training in tobacco control and industry interference. He applies his expertise through the National Tobacco Control Board in Kenya, where he serves and is currently furthering his studies in medical ethics, with a particular interest in the principles of justice and autonomy.
Dr Ogoti’s work explores how these ethical principles intersect with mental illness and substance use. Passionate about advancing ethical, equitable care in public health, and he is especially interested in how these ideas shape tobacco cessation strategies.
