HIV and AIDS remain a threat to global health. According to WHO, it is estimated that 42.3 million lives have been lost due to AIDS globally. This lecture aims to deepen understanding of HIV, its medications, and patient management.

Objectives:

  • To understand HIV and available HIV medications.
  • To describe HIV patient management.
  • To outline the supply chain role of a pharmacist in ART.

 

Speaker: Mr Limbikila Ng’ambi
Limbikila Ng’ambi is a hospital pharmacist based in Namibia. He holds Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honors) degree from University of Malawi, College of Medicine. Limbani also studied at Stellenbosch University and graduated with PGDip in HIV/AIDS Management He has a keen interest in side effect monitoring and drug-drug interactions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. He is passionate about pharmaceutical care and clinical practice; and is dedicated to delivering high quality pharmacy services to improve patient health.
