Webinar title: Integrating Primary Care and Rehabilitation for Bone and Joint Health in Africa: The Case of Osteoporosis and Psoriatic Arthritis
This webinar examines the crucial intersection of primary healthcare, rehabilitation, and policy in addressing the increasing burden of osteoporosis and psoriatic arthritis in Africa. These chronic musculoskeletal conditions often remain underdiagnosed and undertreated, particularly in resource-constrained primary care settings. The session will examine how integrated, community-based approaches and effective rehabilitation can improve early detection, management, and long-term outcomes. It will also highlight the policy and system-level reforms needed to strengthen musculoskeletal health within the broader framework of universal health coverage. Through expert insights and discussion, the webinar aims to advance a coordinated agenda for equitable, sustainable, and multidisciplinary care for bone and joint health across African health systems.
