Webinar title: Investing in Nurse Leadership: New Global Nurse Leadership Competency Framework and Educator’s Toolkit
This webinar introduces new global public goods designed to strengthen nurse leadership across low- and middle-income countries. Participants will explore the Sigma Global Nursing Leadership Competency Framework and Jhpiego’s just-launched modular leadership development toolkit—both freely accessible and aligned to real-world needs. The Health Carousel Foundation will also share how its investments in ethical recruitment and leadership support contribute to sustaining the nursing workforce globally. This session offers practical insights and tools for educators, policymakers, and frontline leaders ready to build the next generation of nurse leaders.


Speaker 1: Sarah Gray, Chief Nursing Officer
Sarah Gray is the Chief Nursing Officer for Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma). She is also a softball coach, mentor, yoga instructor, and mom of two. Dr. Gray is a presenter, author, and coach on practical solutions, innovation, and inspirational topics, specializing in professional branding and leadership.
Speaker 2: Rosemary Njogu, Sr. Regional Clinical Advisor, Africa Regional, MNH & Nurse-Midwifery Focal Person
Rosemary is a Registered Nurse-Midwife with over 16 years of experience and holds a master’s degree in Community Health and Development. As Senior Regional Clinical Advisor at Jhpiego, she leads work in immunization, nursing and midwifery, and new PPH drug introduction across various countries in Africa. She has led programs in HIV, RMNCH, and maternal vaccines, including COVID-19. A 2024 cohort WomenLift Health Fellow and recipient of the DAISY Award at Jhpiego, Rosemary has presented at international conferences and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. She is also a passionate mentor, especially committed to developing young women leaders.
Speaker 3: Earl Dalton, Chief Clinical Officer
Earl Dalton is the Chief Nursing Officer at Health Carousel and Vice President of the National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations (NATHO). In 2022 he was a finalist for the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Health Care Hero Award. Dalton is a seasoned veteran of the healthcare field, carrying with him over twenty years of hospital experience. In addition to his keen clinical and bedside knowledge, Earl is attuned to the healthcare industry, particularly in the realm of nursing.
