Speaker: Mr. Humphrey Beja – National Midwives Association of Uganda, Deputy General Secretary

A midwife passionate about maternal and newborn health, sexual and reproductive health and research. Currently the Deputy General Secretary National Midwives Association of Uganda. In this role, he participated in drafting several national documents like the costed implementation plan for the roll out of EMOTIVE, a new approach being used to manage post-partum hemorrhage. He is a National Trainer for EMOIVE in Uganda. He is an implementation science fellow at Mbarara University of Science and Technology-Uganda and his study is on alcohol use disorders and dementia among older adults. He has published research articles in the areas of HIV and modern contraceptives.
