Parenteral nutrition is a feeding method by bypasses your digestive system. It plays a crucial role in managing patients who are unable to obtain food through the normal digestive system. Throughout this lecture, we will look at the definition and other critical aspects of parenteral nutrition.

Speaker: Tikhala Padambo RD
Tikhala Padambo, RD, is a registered dietitian by profession. She holds a PGDip and BSc in Dietetics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Currently, she is Principal Clinical Dietitian at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and also a Research Fellow with the Increased Gains in Nutrition by Integration, Education, Evaluation & Empowerment (IGNTN3) project based at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KuHes) in partnership with WaterAid and Nutrition International. She served as secretary and thereafter president of the Association of Dietitians in Malawi (ADM).
