Who is the Advanced Practice Nurse/Midwife

Hosted & Sponsored by:

Webinar title: Who is the Advanced Practice Nurse/ Midwife?

This webinar explores the identity, scope, and professional foundations of the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Advanced Practice Midwife (APM) within contemporary health systems. It clarifies the distinction between APN/APM as a regulated professional framework and ANP/APM as a mode of clinical practice.

Participants will gain a structured understanding of the two core nursing pathways: Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) as well as the midwifery pathways of Clinical Midwife Specialist (CMS) and Midwife Practitioner (MP). The session highlights how advanced practitioners strengthen health systems, improve quality and access to
care, and contribute meaningfully to Universal Health Coverage.
