I am an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in critical care medicine and nurse educator. My working experience spans over three decades in primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare settings. I have been involved in several roles as a Nurse Leader in the ICU, a nurse-led urgent care center, Course Director for the UK Resuscitation Council ALS Provider Courses, and Program Director for the MSN Advanced Nurse Practitioner program at City, University of London. After relocating to the USA, I obtained a post-master’s certificate in adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner at UT Health Center- Houston and my Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Chatham University.
Objectives:
- To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of what Continuous Professional Development (CPD) entails, including its significance, principles, and best practices.
- To raise awareness among participants about the importance of CPD in staying relevant and competitive their chosen field
- To help participants recognize the role of CPD in career advancement and professional growth, and to empower them to take ownership of their professional development journey.
