Geriatric Care in Primary Health Care, Integrating Quality Health Care in Older Adults

A medical doctor, with over 13 years’ experience in health care service delivery. A graduate of the University of Nairobi School of Health Sciences with a degree in medicine and surgery (MBCHB), and a Master of Medicine degree in Family Medicine from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba. I’m deeply passionate about providing holistic patient care and I draw satisfaction in the formation of long-term relationships with patients while addressing a wide spectrum of health concerns.

Objectives:

1. Creating awareness on comprehensive geriatric assessment in older adults.
2. Fostering and advocating for multidisciplinary and person- centered approach in caring for older persons.
3. Advocating for preventive approach in management of geriatric clients.
4. Experience sharing from Kenya, on Geriatric care approach through community and health facilities linkage.
